The seed of the story isn't entirely fresh - hardened detective shocked back to vivacity by a mysterious crime that hits close to home - but it's embedded within a pretty compelling, well-realized near-future dystopia that has a biting relevance. This is a good take on a Blade Runner-esque scifi/noir story. The juxtaposition between the classic noir PI styling and narration with the dystopian dying world hidden by advancing technology is very intriguing and I look forward to the next issue. This is very good and right up my street. While I wait for the next issues of We Have Demons (comiXology Originals) #2 and Night of the Ghoul (comiXology Originals) #3, I couldn't resist starting a third Scott Snyder Comixology Original series. Why not veil the world in "1940's black-and-white glamour? Or in a happy-happy cartoon"? Believe it or not, veiling caught on slower here in the states than in other countries, but once we lost the red ware hell, we were off to the races. Sure, the superstructure is still there, but the look, the 's all up to you. ![]() Your mind the hard drive, your eyes the screen. We're living circuit boards, after all.it was only a matter of time. Big tech making something that we could hook into directly. It started with the evolution of the internet.
